Summer 2008 Ango
Extended Practice Commitment Form
ASZC is able to offer our first Ango, or 12-week practice period,
this year. It is possible because Suirin Ray Witham will be in
residence as Shuso, or Head Student. Please make a commitment to come
and practice with him, and to support his efforts in dedicating his
time and teaching to our Sangha.
Please commit to a special schedule that fits your lifestyle so that
it is doable for you. Please check one or more below and return it to
Hojo to make your intentions known. Some of these events, such as
classes, are subject to start and stop dates as announced by the
leader. If you cannot commit to the suggested packages, please write in
what you are willing and able to do (see schedule for details).
We are offering many options for extended practice commitment during
this Ango. Please review the entire form and consider which options
best fit your abilities and practice needs. While the traditional Ango
practice serves to bring the Sangha closer together in our practice, we
also recognize that commuting to the center may be a prohibitive
expense in time or money and encourage you to commit to enhancing your
home practice and study during this time.
