PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Please wear comfortable clothing (dark or muted colors preferred).  Heavy perfumes or essential oils, cell phones or tablets are not recommended.  We do burn insense but if it bothers you, just ask the person keeping time and they will put it out.  

EVERY MORNING

6:00-6:55 am - (2) 25-min meditation sessions with 5-min walking (kinhin

6:55-7:05 am - SOTO SUTRA SERVICE  Chanting of Repentances, Refuges and feature chant from Home Practice manual

WEEKDAY EVENINGS

MONDAY
7:30-9:00 pm  25 min meditation sessions  followed by Book Discussion

TUESDAY

7:30-9:00 pm  25 min session Zazen followed by Dharma Discussion with Sensei exploring selected Dharma Study topics. Click HERE for current topic. This is a Skype conferance based here at ASZC which includes members from our affiliate centers throughout the US and Canada.

WEDNESDAY
7:30-9:00 pm INTRODUCTION to ZEN MEDITATION
Orientation and Instructions including 15-20 min meditation sessions with 5-min walking (kinhin)

THURSDAY
7:30-9:30 pm
50 min session meditation (zazen) followed by 10 min walking meditation (kinhin) followed by another 50 min session of meditation
