Kuya Minogue first encountered Soto Zen in 1986. She took discipleship with Roshi Kennett's disciple, Kyogen Carlson in 1990 and ordained with Zenku in the Silent Thunder Order in 2015. She now studies with Kate McCandless, guiding teacher at the Mountain Rain Zen Community in Vancouver BC. Kuya lives in Creston BC and is resident priest at Sakuraji, a backyard temple. She has published a book based on Norman Fischer's teachings about Dogen's Mountain and Rivers Sutra, helped edit Hojo's book,Razorblade, and has essays included in several Buddhist anthologies and journals.
