Bio: Haji Basim is a keynote and motivational speaker known for inspiring listeners to delve deeper into their relationship with themselves and gain more clarity of their purpose in life. Haji delivers insightful and passion filled stories and teaching from his unique Life Journey. Haji has traveled the world sitting at the feet of spiritual teachers of many cultures gathering their wisdom and teaching, and translating them into relatable and uplifting talks. Haji is an internationally recognized keynote speaker and has done presentations in various places such as Agape Int'l spiritual center, Bali Pecha Kucha, Unity of North Atlanta, Bali Spirit Festival, and the Adelaide Fringe festival in Australia. He has also featured several guest appearances on CBS News.
 
Haji Basim is also an Int’l award-winning, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who has traveled across the world playing in spiritual centers, theatres, sacred and spiritual yoga festivals.  He is credited for creating a spiritual upbeat genre called Urban Folk that integrates several styles such as Folk, Soul, Flamenco, Bluegrass, Indian Ragas and Bossa Nova. Haji Basim has also served in various musically related roles, such as minister of music at a spiritual center in Charlotte NC and also as a music teacher. Haji Basim studied music in India where he learned to play the Sitar. Over the years Haji has also learned to play a total of 11 other instruments with the Guitar, Banjo, Ukulele, and Sitar just to name a few. He also has several years’ experience in teaching meditation from his travels to various Ashrams temples and meditation centers across the globe.
